The Wanderer
Ben Kelly was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada in a typical white picket fence home, just without the white picket fence. After completeing high school he attended university at a satellite campus of the University of Saskatchewan, St. Peter's College. The college was attached to a local abbey of Benedictine monks who tended the college grounds as part of their home and greeted all the students with a smile.
After two years at St. Peter's College, Ben relocated to Saskatoon where he continued his studies at the U of S through to the completion of a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and History with studies in art, drama, and religious studies as well. He took some time off from school shortly afterwards where he worked various jobs in the city before he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he currently resides with his sweet heart.
He has also studied the martial art of kendo for many years and currently holds the rank of second degree black belt, while his love for the form continues to drive him forward to new challenges. He has studied both French and Japanese languages. Ben also writes and has had work published through the Saskatchewan Writer's Guild as early as his senior year in high school. He is currently working on a novel which occupies his spare time along with his artwork. Ben has travelled across both Canada and the United States as well as to England and Scotland with plans to visit Japan in the near future. It is due to this travelling to pursue training in his career, education, the martial arts, and matters of the heart that he jokingly took the title of "rurouni," meaning "a samurai without master who wanders."
He is currently enrolled at Pierce College, finishing his studies to be certified as a graphic designer before following through on plans to return to Canada, where he intends to ride off into the sunset with both the career and the girl.
